The Oxford Nursery at The Oxford Science Park

The Oxford Nursery has a flexible approach to meeting the needs of parents, and is happy to provide further information about opening times and waiting lists for places at the nursery. The standard opening times for the Oxford Nursery at The Science Park are:

Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm( exc. bank holidays)
Morning Session 8am to 1pm (Inc. snack and lunch)
Afternoon Session 1pm to 6pm (Inc. snack and evening meal)

Early Drop-offs

Early 'drop offs' and late 'pick ups' may be accommodated by prior arrangement and are charged accordingly.

You may drop off and pick up your child at any time within your paid session. However, our days are carefully structured and we believe that children benefit from experiencing the ebb and flow of each session and experiencing all the routines of the Nursery.

Children arriving before 8am cannot be supervised, as staff at that time are busy preparing breakfast and getting ready for the day ahead.

Children arriving early for an afternoon session cannot be guaranteed a care worker until 1pm as staff will still be caring for their morning children.

Late pick-ups

Late pick-ups should also be arranged in advance, to allow staff to make arrangements to work overtime. We are obliged by Social Services to have two members of staff on duty at the beginning and end of each day for safety and security reasons. These staff cannot leave until you leave the building. This means you will be charged for the period until you leave, not enter the Nursery after 6pm. These charges reflect the cost of this staffing.

Early Drop-off charges

If earlier drop-offs are required they must be negotiated in advance and will be charged appropriately. If you arrive early and we cannot care for your child until the booked time the responsibility of care will be with you.

7.45 -8.00am £5.00
7.30 - 7.45am £10.00
Before 7.30 will be charged at a full session
12.45 - 1.00pm £5.00
12.30 - 12.45pm £10.00
Before 12.30 will be charged at a full session

Late Pick-up charges

Late pick ups after 1pm may result in a parent of a child who is booked in for the afternoon session having to waiit.

1.00- 1.15pm £5
1.15 - 1.30pm £10
After 1.30 will be charged at a full session rate
6.00 - 6.15pm £5
6.15 - 6.30pm £10
After 6.30 will be charged at £20 per hour

These charges will be added to your monthly invoice.
